It is not uncommon for patients to consider substituting treatments based on information gathered through internet sources. However, many people are often overwhelmed by the amount of medical information available to them when researching medical resources.

Unfortunately, many internet sites that people visit are funded by advertising that promotes and uses information that does not meet certain standards of care or is based on small studies which can not be used or substituted.

The simple fact is most, if not all, of the medical content available on the internet is unreliable because the authenticity of the source is either unavailable or manufactured. For this reason, less experienced individuals may become confused about where to look for information, or even what to consider an authentic source. I was no exception, when I first began using internet. Even someone who looks intently for the right answer can easily be mislead. After searching, reviewing, cross checking, verifying the content and source of hundreds of websites it is easy to become overwhelmed.

Our site is NOT a promotional or advertising site. We are not funded by any organization. Therefore, if you see internet sites with our reference, please know that it is not us.

Although time consuming. We feel it is our commitment to our patients and the surrounding community to educate and provide information that helps to avoid misleading information, that could lead to a misdiagnosis.
